Camera Movement

Camera Movement

Character Dolly: The LEGO Movie

First of all, yes, I know it's cheesy, and forgive the poor quality of the video. The final shot of the movie is a good example of a Character Dolly though. After being introduced to the new possible threat, the camera cuts to a long shot that very quickly dollies into the heroes, wrapping up the film nicely.

Spin Around: Red Tails

While there is TONS of motivated movement in this movie, skip ahead to about 24:05 in the above clip. In this shot, the Tuskegee Air Men are preparing for battle with a little speech/chant. The purpose of the spin around is to convey the unity of the men.

Fly Over: Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

The establishing shots in this scene is a fly over of the area surrounding the arena, and the arena itself. Granted they are short, but they do their job in setting up the scene, and conveying how alien this world is.
